Rodni is known for having one of the best Trichocereus collections in Australia, and many made the pilgrimage to his collection in western Melbourne to purchase specimens from his garden.

He has detailed knowledge on the care and maintenance of cacti, with photos of his near-perfect Trichocereus specimens appearing in Patrick Noll’s books on Trichocereus.

He is a qualified horticulturalist with a wide experience of many ethnobotanical plants and had a period managing the Wandjina Gardens nursery.

Rodni is now running the Trichocereus Australia nursery in northern NSW.
