Outdoor Ethnobotanical Conference
A forum for cultivating ethnobotanical plants, knowledge, and community

About Garden States: Regeneration
Entheogenesis Australis (EGA) will be holding an outdoor ethnobotanical conference in late 2025. For decades, our iconic outdoor events have earned a place in people's hearts and minds as unique gatherings run by and for the community.
The Garden States: Regeneration conference is scheduled for Friday 28 November to Monday 1 December 2025. Be sure to mark these dates in your calendar!
This is an outdoor educational conference where attendees can camp among the trees and under the stars, all on one site, learning and growing together.
The conference will be held approximately 75 minutes southeast of the Melbourne CBD. The outdoor EGA conferences are legendary, occurring only once every few years. As the organisation celebrates its 21st year, attendees from across Australia are anticipated to gather at this one-of-a-kind botanical gathering.
Tickets to the conference are strictly limited, with the number of camping attendees capped at 600 to preserve the intimate, village-style atmosphere that our community treasures.

All in one place, among the trees and under the stars…
This year, we’re excited to present a distilled event drawing on years of experience to provide a temporary academic space amongst the trees.
Our aim is to create a forum focused on bringing community together to share plants, seeds, and related knowledge, all while camping out in the Australian bushland. The event will feature lectures, workshops, discussion panels, music and art, all carefully curated to support your journey in cultivating ethnobotanical plants, knowledge, and community.
The EGA ethnobotanical conference is internationally respected and recognised as one of the longest-running in the world. Past conferences have drawn luminaries in their fields from around Australia and the planet. We invite you to join us once again to co-create something very special, while planting seeds for earth, body, and mind.
